Outline (in English)

The main objective of this lecture is to understand the process of instrumental analysis, from the sample pretreatment to the evaluation of results. The theory of trace elemental analysis will mainly be described through the example of atomic spectrochemical techniques. The different goals between analysis in the field and analytical chemistry in the lab are discussed. It is also important to know that if an unskilled operator handles the instrument without enough care, the analytical result may sometimes provide the wrong and fatal conclusion.
