Outline (in English)

In this class, we learn space geometry by understanding the practical geodesy and elements of global navigation satellite system (GNSS).

This class aims to be a bridge to the understanding of scientific observation and physics used in modern science.
In the lecture, we will introduce a wide range of cases of space and earth observation so that we can learn the knowledge of geometry commonly used in various fields as a useful tool. Specifically, we will learn how the earth and the universe are observed in modern times from the viewpoint of geodesy and spatial geometry.
Being able to solve the exercises that are given as assignments, and questions will be asked from these in final exam.
The evaluation criteria are 30% for assignments and 70% for final exams, and the passing score for final exams is 60 points or higher.
