Outline (in English)

[Course outline]
In order to control robot behavior intelligently, the system modeling approach is one of the important factors to analyze. This course provides an introduction to the Laplace transform, block diagram representation and system modeling, stability analysis, and feedback control, which are fundamental to robotics, will learn, by supporting basic design tools using MATLAB will be provided. The relationship between continuous-time representation and discrete-time representation in control systems will also be briefly introduced.

[Learning Objectives]
The purpose of this course is to learn the basics of both continuous and discrete types of block diagrams and Laplace transform in the intelligent robot.
To understand the mathematical principles of block diagrams and Laplace transforms, and to be able to explain the properties of signals in the Laplace domain.
To be able to understand the operation of system modeling using MATLAB and Simulink in terms of both theory and practice of block diagram visualization.
[Learning activities outside of classroom]
Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments after each class meeting and comprehensive mini-test before starting each class meeting. Your study time will be more than four hours for a class.
[Grading Criteria /Policy]
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
Term-end examination: 60%、Short reports and comprehensive mini test: 40%.
