Outline (in English)
This class introduces the fundamentals of space science. This course focuses on remote sensing from space using satellites and the fundamentals of space science that form the cornerstone of such remote sensing. The methods of science in space will be reviewed and several missions will be introduced in detail. Evaluation will be based on the overall evaluation of the student's performance, including regular marks, reports, etc. (50%), and a final examination (50%).

衛星を用いた宇宙からのリモートセンシングをテーマとし，その礎となる宇宙科学の基礎を学ぶ．宇宙における科学の方法を概観するとともに，いくつかのミッションについて詳しく紹介する．
