Outline (in English)

This course introduces the fundamentals of communication methods. To provide an overview of modulation methods as a means of communicating information and to understand the noise characteristics for each of them. The course will focus on information content, entropy, and noise/signal-to-noise ratio in information communication, information processing, and sensitive signal reception. In the modern information society, communication of information is an indispensable concept and subject to evaluation, while astronomical observations receive weak space signals. The ability to treat and evaluate them in a unified manner is of great benefit. This course includes this point of view. Quantum mechanical treatment is also essential. The application of quantum mechanics and its techniques are also studied. Evaluation will be based on the overall evaluation of the student's performance, reports, etc. (50%) and the final examination (50%).
