Outline (in English)

[Course Outline]
Digital signal processing is one of the most important essential technologies in the information society. In order to understand digital signal processing, students will learn how to program various signal processing algorithms by using MATLAB in both the mathematical and practical aspects.
[Learning Objectives]
The goal of this lecture is to acquire the ability to design digital signal processing for processing digital signals.
To understand the mathematical principles of Discrete Fourier Transform and Fast Fourier Transform, to be able to perform the transforms, and to be able to explain the characteristics of signals in the frequency domain.
Understand the operation of digital filters and be able to filter and design them.
- To be able to perform Fast Fourier Transform, digital filtering, and image processing using MATLAB.

[Learning activities outside the classroom]
Required assignments will be submitted after each class, and a comprehensive mini-test will be given before the class starts.

[Grading criteria/policies]
The overall grade for the class will be determined based on the following items
Final exam 60%., assignments and comprehensive mini-tests:40%.
