Outline (in English)
[Course outline]
Cognitive psychology is a field that attempts to elucidate the information process in the brain. The purpose is to obtain knowledge about the structure and function of things called "human mind" from the process. In this lecture, we will learn the work of "human mind" as a cognitive system which is one of information processes.
[Learning Objectives]
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the following:
1. Students can explain the cognitive characteristics and mechanisms involved in memory and learning.
2. Students can explain in a way that can be applied in the classroom and in daily life.
3. Students can explain in one's own words what cognition is and how cognitive behavior is evoked.
[Learning activities outside of classroom]
Students are expected to spend 4 hours reviewing the material in this class. As a review, students are required to write a summary of the contents of each class on a sheet of A4 paper.
[Grading Criteria /Policy]
The overall grade of the class is determined based on the following.
In-class contribution 55%, End-of-term report 45%.

人間の活動における認知の構造および現象について，心理学的に幅広く捉え，理解することがこの授業の目的です。
到達目標Goal
以下の３つが皆さんのこの授業での目標です。
1.記憶や学習に関わる認知特性およびメカニズムを理解し，説明することができる。
2.授業や日常生活の中に応用できる形で理解する。
3.認知とは何か、どのようにして認知行動が喚起されるか、自分自身の言葉で説明できるようになる。

基本的に講義形式で授業を行います。各回のテーマについて代表的な理論、心理学実験を紹介、解説、検討します。また、講義内では体験を目的とした実験を実施する場合があります。授業の初めに、前回の授業で提出されたリアクションペーパーからいくつか取り上げ、授業の中で取りあげ，全体に対してフィードバックを行います。また，課題等の提出・フィードバックは「学習支援システム」を通じて行う予定です。

本授業の準備・復習等の授業時間外学習は、4時間の復習を標準とします。復習として、毎授業の内容をA4用紙1枚程度でまとめます。

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
・平常点（55％）…授業へ出席し，復習シートを作成して提出することを評価の対象とします。
・期末レポート（45%）…授業内容についての基本的な理解と，その授業内容を日常生活に応用できるレベルで理解できているかどうかの両者を主な評価対象とします。
学生の意見等からの気づきChanges following student comments
2020年度は，高い評価を得たので，授業内容について大きな変更をする予定はありませんが，オンライン授業の動画が再生できない，あるいは授業支援システム上で授業資料を確認・閲覧できない等のトラブルがありました。そのため，今年度は，授業開始時間の半日以上前に授業資料をアップロードする，授業担当者のホームページ上からも授業資料を閲覧できるようにする，などの対応をしたいと思います。

授業で用いる資料は授業支援システムより各自ダウンロードしてください。また，課題の提出についても授業支援システムを用います。

初回の授業にて，授業の運営方針や授業計画について詳しく説明するので，受講希望者は初回時には必ず出席してください。
