Outline (in English)

Electromagnetism is the basic of electric power and electronics. This course introduces the beginning of electromagnetism, focusing on phenomena related to dynamic behavior of electric and magnetic fields, exchanges between electric and magnetic fields, and electromagnetic waves. The goals of this course are to understand theories that explain electric and magnetic phenomena, Maxwell's equations and electromagnetic waves, as well as to learn basic analysis related to these topics. Students will be expected to follow the development of formula by themselves, and review the previous lecture before each class meeting. Grading will be decided based on term-end examination (70%) and in-class contribution (including in-class practice: 30%).
