Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
Quantum mechanics is one of the most important subjects in modern physics. The lecture starts with the history of quantum mechanics how and when it was born. Then, the lectures will cover the concepts and solutions unique to quantum mechanics which is different from those in classical mechanics.
(Learning Objectives)
The goal of this course is to learn concept of quantum mechanics, Schrodinger equation, and its application to hydrogen atom.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
(Grading Criteria /Policy)
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
Term-end examination: 80%, in class contribution: 20%
