Outline (in English)

An ordinary differential equation is an equation that one unknown function and its derivatives satisfy, and appears in various science and engineering scenes. In this lesson, you learn the solution of basic ordinary differential equations.

(Learning Objectives)
By the end of the course, students should be able to solve the following differential equations:
1) Various 1st order ordinary equations
2) 2nd order linear equations with constant coefficients
3) 1st order simultaneous equations with constant coefficients

(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
Students are encouraged to work on the assignments.

(Grading Criteria)
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the followings:
Short report (20%), Term-end examination (80%).
