Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
The purpose of this course is to learn fundamental parts of mathematical finance.
【Learning Objectives】
The goal of this course is to understand fundamental parts of bond pricing, optimal portfolio (mean-variance method), option pricing and VaR and also to learn the way to apply mathematics, that you've learned, in finance.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students will be expected to read the relevant chapter(s) from the text before each class meeting.
Students will be expected to review the lecture note and solve problems in the text after each class meeting.
Your study time will be more than four hours for a class.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process Mid-term report (30%), term-end examination (50%), and in-class assignment (20%). If number of absence is more than or equal to 4, your grade is automatically D.
