Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
A production system is a series of mechanisms to produce value in products and services from raw materials and materials. This lecture teaches the basic knowledge of production systems' objectives and the theories and technologies necessary to achieve them. Particular emphasis will be placed on demand forecasting, inventory management, and scheduling. The students will acquire basic skills needed for future university activities and management of production activities involved in society.

(Learning objectives)
This course aims to understand the significance of production systems and their fundamentals and acquire basic skills for managing entire production systems.

(Learning activities outside of the classroom)
After each class meeting, students will be expected to have understood the content, submitted an attendance sheet and completed the required assignments.

(Grading criteria /policies)
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following; the basis of exercises: 20%, mid-term exam: 40%, and final exam: 40%. Active participation in the lectures will also be evaluated.
