Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
This lecture develops the essential ability to publish research results through presentations, discussions, and presentations based on several research themes. The target field deals with industrial and systems engineering fields based on statistics. This lecture aims to acquire universal problem-solving methods and logical thinking by experiencing problem finding, statistical modeling, analysis.

(Learning objectives)
The purpose of this course is to develop the ability of presenters to "recognize," "organize," and "express" problems, and of the audience to "understand" correctly from the presenters' expressions. Specifically, the following items are targeted.
(1) Ability to understand and explain the content of the lecture correctly (recognition and organization)
(2) Ability to create explanatory materials (expression)
(3) Ability to understand correctly from explanations (comprehension)

(Learning activities outside of the classroom)
The contents of the lecture will be shared among the seminar students.

(Grading criteria /policies)
The degree of achievement of the above objectives (1) to (3) will be evaluated by the comprehension of the theme, explanatory materials, oral presentation (50%), and question-and-answer session and discussion (50%).
