Outline (in English)

[Course outline]
This course introduces “Inventory management in manufacturing companies”, “Warehouse management system” and “Production control and sales distribution management related to inventory management” to students taking this course. The aim of this course is to help students acquire “Solutions skill to basic inventory system problems”. This course deals with the “Inventory management in manufacturing companies”, “Warehouse management system” and “Production control and sales distribution management related to inventory management”. It also enhances the development of students’ skill in Solutions to basic inventory system problems.

[Learning Objectives]
The goals of this course are to A, B, C, D and E. At the end of the course, students are expected to A and B. By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
-A: Understand the basic concepts of inventory management and be able to analyze problems.
-B: Acquire the relevant knowledge necessary for optimal inventory determination.
-C: Can understand and design an inventory management system.
-D: Understand the basic concept of SCM centered on the inventory system.
-E: SCM methods can be used to analyze problems and devise countermeasures.

[Learning activities outside of classroom]
Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments after each class meeting. Your study time will be more than four hours for a class. Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content

[Grading Criteria /Policies]
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process.
Mid-term examination (30%), term-end examination (40%), and Short reports & in-class contribution (30%).
