Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
Learn the basic concept of discrete mathematics and understand precise logical development based on it. Learn important methods of discrete mathematics and deepen your understanding of discrete mathematical thinking and key results.

(Learning Objectives)
Learn about discrete mathematics and deepen your understanding of mathematics dealing with discrete objects. In addition, students will develop the ability to understand the contents of mathematics in junior high school and high school in a systematic way and to think about discrete mathematics from a bird's-eye view.

(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
Students are encouraged to prepare for the textbook and solve the exercises (or assignments) corresponding to the previous lesson.

(Grading Criteria)
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following:
Short reports 30%, Term-end examination 70%.
