（Course outline）
The objective of this lecture is to learn basic methods to obtain various types of information about the scene in the image using computer.
（Learning Objectives）
Acquire basic image processing techniques. Understand what kind of information can be obtained from images. Learn about the various applications.
（Learning activities outside of classroom）
Assignments will be submitted and feedback will be provided through the "Learning Support System (Hoppii)" The standard amount of study outside of class hours for preparation and review of this class is 4 hours. To help students understand the class, exercises will be performed in class and submitted after the class. Assignments may include simple programming.

コンピュータを用いて画像から対象に関する様々な情報を取り出して利用するための工学的手法を学習する．
到達目標Goal
基本的な画像処理手法を身に着ける．画像からどのような情報が得られるのかを理解する．様々なアプリケーションについて知る．

コンピュータで画像を処理し，画像にうつっている対象に関する情報を取り出して認識・理解するための諸技術について学ぶ．
画像の撮像原理，画像を加工するための基本的な処理（濃淡変換，画像の変形，特徴抽出等），3次元構造の推定方法を学ぶ．
課題等の提出・フィードバックは「学習支援システム（Hoppii）」を通じて行う予定です.
This course introduces various techniques for processing images on a computer and extracting information about the objects depicted in the images for recognition and understanding.
Students will learn the principles of image capture, basic image processing (grayscale transformation, image deformation, feature extraction, etc.), and methods of estimating 3D structure.
Assignments will be submitted and feedback will be provided through the "Learning Support System (Hoppii)"
