Outline (in English)

【Course outline】 Students will learn the basic and systematic knowledge of LSIs, one of the important components supporting the information society, and understand how LSIs are designed and manufactured and how they are useful in people's lives and industries.
【Learning Objectives】 The goal of this course is to provide students with knowledge of the operating principles of CMOS transistors used in LSIs, design methods for circuits composed of CMOS transistors, and the manufacturing process of LSI chips equipped with circuits, so that they can understand how the functions of the electronic devices around them are realized on LSIs.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】 Preparation and review time for this class requires 4 hours for each session (standard). It is recommended that students study in advance with textbooks and reference books based on the theme and content of each session.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】 Evaluation will be based on a combination of the results of participation and attitude (about 30%) and report (about 70%).
