Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
Differential equations are used in various fields of science and engineering. The aim of this course is to help students acquire an understanding of solving methods of differential equations and analysis methods of simple physical systems by differential equations.

(Learning objectives)
By the end of the course, students are expected to acquire following skills
- Understanding of solutions of ordinary differential equation
- Understanding of Laplace transform and its inverse

(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Before each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content. Moreover, additional work is expected in case the report is assigned as homework.

(Grading Criteria)
Term-end examination: 60%, In class contributions including mini exams: 40%
