Outline (in English)

< Course outline >
This course is the sequence of the electromagnetics in the first grade and introduces the fundamental knowledge of the magnetic field. The course is intended to develop student's skill based on the vector analysis.
< Learning objectives >
By the end of the course, students are expected to acquire the following skills:
- Understanding of the static magnetic field and the dynamic fields
- Fundamental calculations of vector analysis, including the rotation and Laplacian
- Understanding of Maxwell's equations and Poynting vector
< Learning activities outside of classroom >
Before each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content. Moreover, additional work is expected in case the report is assigned as homework.
< Grading Criteria >
Final report based on individual hand-written notes: 80%, Online reports: 20%
