Outline (in English)

This course is an introductory to magnetism and magnetic materials. The 1st to the 8th lectures are devoted to the fundamental of magnetism, which covers classical magnetic field theory, magnetic materials, and basic of electromagnetic modeling and simulation. The principle of applications are given in the 9th to the 13rd lectures with examples, i.e., application of magnetic theory and magnetic materials to electrical and electronic engineering, application of soft/hard magnetic materials, sensing and measurement, magnetic recording. This course will be of interest to undergraduate students in electrical/electronic department.
