Outline (in English)

< Course outline >
The concepts of light wave propagation are described using the mathematical physics. The Maxwell equations are employed to explain the properties of wave transmission, reflection, and diffraction.
< Learning objectives >
By the end of the course, students are expected to acquire the following skills:
- Understanding of the electromagnetic wave propagation
- Fundamental knowledge of Snell's law
- Wave interference and diffraction theory
< Learning activities outside of classroom >
Before each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content. Moreover, additional work is expected in case the report is assigned as homework.
< Grading Criteria >
Online reports: 100%
