Outline (in English)

[Course outline]
Sequential logical circuit (SLC) is the logical circuit
whose output depends on both the input and the internal state.
The SLC can memorize the digital information in itself.
By the study of this class,
the students can acquire the basic knowledge of the SLC.
Such knowledge is the basis of the understanding of
the computer systems and digital control systems.

[Learning Objectives]
In this class, The students learn about
1) flip-flop which is the elements of the SLC,
2) register and counter which are application examples of the SLC,
3) analysis and design technique of the SLC.
Then, students will get the basic abilities of
classfication, modeling, and implementation of the SLCs.

[Learning activities outside of classroom]
This class is an advanced course of the combinational logic circuit
in the spring semester of second-year.
Student should understand the combinational logic circuit before
they attend this class.
They also should review the exercises in this class.

[Grading Policy]
In this class, small test is carried out at the end of each class.
Each student's grade is evaluated
by the mid-term examination, term-end examination, and whole small tests.
Grading criteria is the mid-term examination 35%,
the term-end examination 35%, and the whole small tests 30%.
