Outline (in English)

< Course outline >
This course mainly introduces the fundamental knowledge regarding the electric field. The vector analysis is also introduced to deeply understand the concepts and principles of the static electric field.
< Learning objectives >
By the end of the course, students are expected to acquire the following skills:
- Understanding of the static electric field and scalar potential
- Fundamental calculations of vector analysis, including the line integral, surface integral, gradient, and divergence
< Learning activities outside of classroom >
Before each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content. Moreover, additional work is expected in case the report is assigned as homework.
< Grading Criteria >
Final report based on individual hand-written notes: 80%, Online reports: 20%
