Outline (in English)
【Course outline】
In this course, the graduation research will be commenced based on understanding background and essence of specific fields of the research. To conduct research, how to use equipment in the laboratory will be learned. It is important to polish techniques and ability to read scientific articles written in English and Japanese.
【Learning Objectives】
After completing this course, students are expected to:
- Acquire the ability to identify and solve problems.
- Be able to understand academic papers in their field and English papers.
- Acquire the ability to respond to various issues.
- Acquire specialized knowledge that can be applied to mechanical engineering in general.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students will research experimental equipment and its operation methods according to the theme of their graduation research..
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Final grade will be evaluated based on the interim presentation of the graduation research.

１．所属研究室の専門分野の研究テーマを理解し，卒業研究へ着手する。
２．研究室の専門分野と研究室の設備・技術について理解すること。
３．研究テーマに関連した専門分野の学術論文，および，英語論文を読解できる能力を養うこと。
４．研究テーマに関連した専門分野についての広い知識と深い理解を得る。

担当教員の指導の下に、少人数によるセミナー形式の学習を行う。機械工学に関連する各専門分野の外国語の文献や論文を輪読し理解する。研究室の実験設備、計測システムを使用し、その原理、使用方法を理解する。各自の卒論テーマに即した研究内容の理解と実験装置の試作、開発などを行う。適時，実施内容に対してフィードバックを行う。
