Outline (in English)
【Course outline】
For engineers who design and manufacture machines and systems that support human life and society, it is extremely important to understand the basic concepts of design and technology. In this class, the basic approach methods and elemental technologies for realizing mechanical devices around us are outlined for beginning students to develop their mindset as engineers.
【Learning Objectives】
To acquire basic knowledge of various elemental technologies required as a mechanical engineer, and to be able to think of approaches to the mechanical systems you want to realize.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students will deepen their understanding of what they have learned in class by studying actual cases. In the project exercise, students will actually propose a mechanical system.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Evaluation method: 100% of the evaluation will be based on the content of the reports and presentations in the class exercises.
Evaluation criteria: Students who achieve 60% of the set goals in this course will pass the course.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
人間の暮らしや社会を支える機械やシステムを設計製造する技術者にとって、デザインとテクノロジーの基本的な考え方を理解しておくことは極めて重要である。この授業では、身の回りの機械装置を実現するための基本的なアプローチの方法や要素技術に関して、初学者向けに概説し、技術者としての心構えを養う。
到達目標Goal
機械エンジニアとして必要な各種の要素技術に対する基本的な知識を身に付けるとともに、実現したい機械システムへのアプローチを考えることができるようになること。
