Outline (in English)

Biomechanics is a new research area in which the mechanical property and function of biological tissues, organs, and systems are understood. Students will understand the details of Biomechanics and how experimental and analytical results are applied to medical diagnoses, surgical treatments, and rehabilitation.
【Course outline】
This course provides a basic knowledge of specific area of the research to be conducted in the graduation research. Students will be motivated by understanding the background of the research.
【Learning Objectives】
At the end of the course, students are expected to achieve the objectives of the class and to acquire preliminary understanding and knowledge for graduation research and mechanical engineering seminar II.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend 4 hours to understand the course content.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
The total score of 60 or more out of 100 is considered acceptable.
