Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
The aim of this course is to provide students with ability to think accurately, and improve the analytical capabilities in the field of science and engineering by laboratory experiments and simulations.

(Learning objective)
The specific goals of this integrated course are:
1) Students to be able to explain the basic theory and principles from the viewpoint of mechanical engineering.
2) Students to be able to understand how to design an experiment set-up correctly.
3) Students to be able to obtain and analyze the data.

(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Before each class meeting, students will be expected to have read the relevant chapter from the text. Your required study time is at least one hour for each class meeting.

(Grading Criteria/Policies)
The final grade will be determined according to the following criteria:
・Only students with attendance rate of over 80%(12/14 or over)will evaluated.
・Attendance, submitted reports, the students experimental performance in the lab are evaluated 50% and the quality of the reports 50%.
To pass, students must earn at least 60 points out of 100.
