Outline (in English)

【授業の概要(Course outline)】
This course introduces the following subjects:
-The history of robotics
-The state-of-the-art robot technology
-Fundamental of robot kinematics
-Fundamental of robot dynamics
-Medical robotics
-Assistive technology

【到達目標(Learning Objectives)】
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
1. You get to know about the history of robots and current status of development.
2. You get to know about the state-of-the-art robot technology.
3. You get to know about the category of robots.
4. You get to know about the fundamental of kinematic analysis of robot.
5. You get to know about the medical robot and assistive technology in robotics field.

【授業時間外の学習(Learning activities outside of classroom)】
After each class meeting, students will be expected to review the course content.
Your study time will be more than four hours for a class.

【成績評価の方法と基準(Grading Criteria /Policy)】
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process
Short reports in class and reports (20%), and term-end examination (80%)
