Outline (in English)

This class will give students simulation of home staying and short-term study abroad in Britain using video and audio. Students will work on various activities watching the video of sceneries in Britain and listening the voices of local people. The focus of the study is the role playing in English assuming various scenes of living in Britain. Students will play parts of many characters in pairs or groups. As the finishing work of the study, students will give presentation at the end of the term. In the presentation, students will do role playing without script by memorizing the lines of one's part. The aim of this presentation is learning basic expressions or phrases used in daily life by heart and enhancing smooth communication in English. The process of learning English is made up of acquiring knowledge and physical training like exercising or practicing musical instruments. This class will put stress on physical training; however, if students have difficulties in understanding basic grammatical matters, will give practices to tackle these weakness.
Preparation work for each lesson is not necessary, but students must do review work after each lesson. Assignments should be submitted and checked through Hoppii.
 Grade evaluation will be assessed based on student's performance at usual lessons (60%) and the end-of-term presentation (40%). Student who is absent from lesson more than 4 times will not be credited.
