Outline (in English)

The purpose of this class is to enhance students' skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Each unit provides two different perspectives on the same topic written by the non-Japanese author and the Japanese author, respectively.

By reading the textbook, students will learn what is "standard" for the people in western countries such as the United States. Thereby, it would help students learn how Japan or Japanese are viewed by non-Japanese people and what's going on in the world.

Default language used in class

日本語・英語併用 / Japanese & English
