Outline (in English)
The aim of this course is to review basic knowledge of German, acquire new skills and learn to apply these in various situations. Students will learn how to express their own point of view in German and to take part in small discussions.
Students will have the chance to get to know many facets of German culture. In addition to that, they will increase their understanding of foreign cultures by comparing them with the situation in their own country from different perspectives.
【Goal】
1) Understand intermediate level texts.
2) Acquire vocabulary from a variety of areas.
3) Review basic grammar and acquire an intermediate level of grammar.
4) To be able to understand the natural German of native speakers.
5) Express opinions clearly on a wide range of topics and express views on current issues.
6) Able to write simple comments and short essays.
7) Be able to make simple presentations.
【Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.)】
The standard preparation and revision time for this class is one hour. Students do not need to prepare for the class, but they must review what they have learnt in class. In particular, students are expected to learn the vocabulary.
【Grading criteria】
There will be an overall assessment of 50% ordinary points and 50% presentations.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
この授業ではこれまで身に付けたドイツ語の基礎を確認し、発展させ、できるだけ応用するスキルを身に付けます。自分の意見をドイツ語で表現し、簡単なディスカッションを試みます。
様々なテーマを通してドイツ文化をより深く知り、自国の実状と比較することで、複眼的に異文化を理解することを目標とします。
到達目標Goal
１）中級程度のテキストを理解できる。
２）様々な領域の語彙を習得する。
３）基本的な文法事項を復習し、中級程度の文法事項を習得する。
４）母語話者の自然なドイツ語が聞き取れるようになる。
５）幅広いテーマについて、明確に意見を述べ、時事的な問題への見解を表明することができる。
６）簡単なコメントやショートエッセイが書ける。
７）簡単なプレゼンテーションを作成できる。

授業の進め方と方法Method(s)（学期の途中で変更になる場合には、別途提示します。 /If the Method(s) is changed, we will announce the details of any changes. ）
スタディ・アブロード（基礎）I（１・２時限は三ッ石が担当）とスタディ・アブロード（基礎）II（３・４時限はシュミットが担当）は連動しています。どちらの授業も以下の通りに進めますが、基本的には午前中の授業では語彙と文法の練習に、午後の授業では会話と作文に重点を置きます。
ヴィデオ教材を通して自然なドイツ語に触れます。内容確認をしつつ、語彙や文法のトレーニングを行います。日本と比較しながら、自分の意見を述べる練習と簡単なディスカッションを試みます。間違いを恐れずに楽しく発言をしてください。
フィードバックは授業時間内に適宜行います。
学習したトピックスの中から好きなテーマを1つ選び、プレゼンテーションを作成し、最後にクラスの前で発表します（グループワーク可）。
