Outline (in English)
In this course, students will learn programming knowledge and techniques covering GUI with Swing and JavaFX, basic animation programming, file operations, thread usage, socket programming for file transfer and group communications, and Web programming with servlet and JSP. In each class, this instructor will first teach necessary programming techniques together with related programs, and then students will do programming drills. Students will be requested to complete the program assignment after each class.

To learn important programming techniques for making practical information systems using Java APIs of GUI, file operations, multi threads, socket-based communications, and Web server-client programming.

Students should master basic knowledge and skills for practical GUI implementation, file I/O programming, file text programing, thread programming, typical animation control, basic server-client network programming, and typical Web programming techniques.

The course will start from GUI programming using Java Swing and JavaFX, then file I/O operations and network programming using sockets and threads, to Web programming using Java Servlet and JSP. When learning the associated programming knowledge, students will do related programming drills, and complete many programming exercises. In each class, students are requested to make practice of given programs and then complete homework within a week.
Students are encouraged to ask questions and inform their problems encountered in doing programming drills in class, and send their questions after class.
