【Course outline】
Students will become more fluent and comfortable in expressing their ideas and opinions using academic-level English.
【Learning Objectives】
The course objectives are as follows:
1. Students will be more confident in communicating their opinions and ideas.
2. Students will acquire appropriate vocabulary and phrases in order to express their ideas.
3. Students will become more comfortable in using English at given situation.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are expected to complete homework assigned by the instructor.
Preparing and Reviewing for this course should take approximately an hour.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Quizzes (30%), Final test (20%), Homework Assignment (30%), The result of TOEIC Test (10%), Active participation (10%)
Students must take TOEIC test held during the fall semester and complete Academic Express Assignments to pass this course.

授業の概要と目的(何を学ぶか)Outline and objectives
In this course, students will learn how to effectively communicate using English. The course places strong emphases on speaking and writing skills, in addition to reading and listening skills. This course is a continuation of English Communication 1.

2. Students will acquire appropriate vocabulary and phrases in order to express their ideas.
3. Students will become more comfortable in using English at given situation.

The class follows the textbook and focuses on grammar structures and speaking activities. Students are expected to actively participate in classroom activities through pair work and group work. Students are also required to complete homework assignments to review the materials covered in class. Individual feedback on students' work will be provided as well as a general feedback to the class.
