到達目標Goal
The purpose is to prepare students for real spoken communication with non-Japanese. At the end of the course, students should be able to express themselves in English with more confidence, and to elicit necessary information from their conversation partners. Emphasis will be placed on asking and answering questions.

The focus will be on practical use of English, with additional attention to grammar and vocabulary. In addition to weekly miniquizzes, each student will be required to bring an item to class and talk about it for 1 minute on two occasions. There will be a lot of pairwork, and students will also work in groups to prepare and conduct a survey of class members, and to present the results. We will also work on grammar handouts. Feedback will be given orally in the class and via Hoppii.
