Outline (in English)

In this course, we are going to deal with "sports culture," and this course is intended for students to be able to enhance their experiences of "doing, watching, and/or supporting" sports through studying and understanding sports culture from various perspective.
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
-To be able to think about sports from a cultural perspective and explain its various historical backgrounds and social significance.
-To be able to explain the important concepts of sports dealt with in the class from philosophical, historical, and social perspectives.
-To be able to think about the sports they practice and the sports that surround them from various perspectives.
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend two hours to understand the course content.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
Term-end report: 50%
Short reports : 50%
