Outline (in English)
In this course, I will review physicochemical properties (mechanical, thermal and electrical properties) of polymers from the contents related to undergraduate level science of polymeric materials and review the foundation. Next, I will focus on solid polymer electrolytes and promote consistent lectures from history, kind, necessity and social needs to applicability. Explain in detail the dissolution mechanism of salt, material diffusion phenomenon, measurement method of conductivity, latest power supply circumstances and so on.
The aim of this course is to help students acquire fundamentals of polymers and solid polymer electrolytes. At the end of the course, students are expected to physicochemical properties of polymers and their applications. Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend at least two hours each to understand the course content. Grading will be decided based on examination 30%, short reports 40% and in-class contribution 30%.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
「固体高分子電解質 (Solid Polymer Electrolytes)」は、ポリエーテルなどの極性高分子と塩(イオン源)から構成される新しい電解質材料です。これまでの電解質材料は、主に液体や無機系固体でしたが、固体高分子電解質は、高分子特有の柔軟性や軽量・薄膜化が可能である利点を有効に活用した次世代導電材料として注目されています。本講義では、まず学部レベルの高分子材料科学に関する内容を中心に、特に高分子物性（力学的・熱的・電気的性質）を取り上げ、その基礎を復習します。次に、固体高分子電解質に焦点を絞り、歴史や種類、必要性や社会的ニーズから応用性まで一貫した講義を進めていきます。塩の溶解メカニズム、物質拡散現象、導電率の測定法や最新の電源事情など、詳しく解説します。
到達目標Goal
高分子の物理化学的性質（力学的、熱的、電気的性質）および固体高分子電解質の基礎を理解する。リチウムイオン二次電池などのエネルギー貯蔵デバイスの種類や材料構成、動作原理が分かるようになる。
