Outline (in English)
Course outline: In this class students acquire basic knowledge of scientific presentation by looking at model presentations and doing exercises provided in the textbook.
Learning Objectives: Students are to learn the structure of presentation and useful expressions so as to apply the knowledge gained to their own presentations.
Learning activities outside of classroom: Before and after each class, the students are expected to spend four hours for preparation and reviewing (including studying materials to be covered, and reading aloud and memorizing important expressions).
Grading Criteria: Evaluation will be made on the following bases:
Final written examination: 40％
Pronunciation examination: 30％
Class participation: 30％

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
国際学会で英語で発表を行う上で手本となるプレゼンの例を検討し、音読練習をすることにより有用な文、表現を習得する。教科書についているリスニング・エクササイズを行い、聴解力も鍛える。英語の分節音（母音、子音、子音結合）の発音に関する指導、練習も行う。

英語でのプレゼンに有用な表現を習得する。
プレゼンを聞き、質疑応答に対応できる聴解力をつける。
発音記号が読め、英語の分節音を適切に発音できる。
