Outline (in English)

This course trains skills to conduct research on information processing. Each student conducts a literature survey and presents research progress. Through the presentation/discussion, students will extend their research conducting skills.

Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to
spend four hours understanding the course content.

The final grade will be calculated according to the weekly reports (70%), and research achievements such as the paper submission to the international conferences (30%).

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives

指導教員のもとで、専攻分野に関する研究や学術論文などの調査を行なう。学術論文の読解力を養うとともに、論文の作成、発表の訓練を行う。技術者、研究者としての素養を身に付け、応用情報工学の分野で活躍できる基礎力を養うことを目的としている。

到達目標Goal

This course aims to cultivate the ability to understand advanced technologies in applied information engineering and acquiring the basic skills to conduct research.
応用情報工学専攻の各分野それぞれの最先端技術と基礎となる理論を理解し、さらなる発展を可能とするための基礎力を身につけることを目標とする。

The course will be given in a highly interactive manner. The students will be asked to do a survey, research, the study of their research topic. Seminars will be held to discuss and present the research results.
