Outline (in English)

Conduct an advanced research mainly on machine learning field including a survey, planning, investigation, and summarize the achievements and make their presentation.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives

機械学習に基づく先端研究を実施する。先行・周辺研究調査、研究計画、研究の遂行、成果のまとめと発表を実施する。
この科目は、情報処理工学特別研究1・2・3　[YB438]とセットで履修すること。

Conduct advanced research based on machine learning. Conduct prior and peripheral research surveys, research planning, execution of research, and compilation and presentation of results.

This course must be taken in combination with Advanced Laboratory for Information Processing (1), (2), and (3)　[YB438].

到達目標Goal

複数の国際的に認められる複数の研究成果および、それに伴う研究能力の涵養。
春学期の少なくとも前半はオンラインでの開講となる。それにともなう各回の授業計画の変更については、学習支援システムでその都度提示する。

Classes could be online. Changes in the lecture plan due to this shift will be announced on the learning support system.

Online、対面問わず、適切な頻度で、個別あるいはグループでのディスカッションを通じて計画、進捗の確認などを行う。

必要に応じて外部の研究協力者とも連携し、研究室および、その他必要な場所でディスカッションを適宜実施しながら進める。また得られた成果は積極的に対外的に論文や国内外の会議論文などとして公開する。

Plan and progress will be reviewed through individual and group discussions, both online and in person, as often as appropriate.

When necessary, we will also collaborate with outside research collaborators and hold discussions as appropriate. The results of the research will be actively published in the form of papers and conference papers both in Japan and abroad.
