Outline (in English)

In the past, Web services have meant services provided on the Internet and accessible via Web browsers and APIs. In recent years, many services that do not meet such a definition have appeared. For example, “Gojek” and “Grab”, which are called “super apps” swept in Southeast Asia, provide social services that lead to inclusive growth, such as finance, living, and mobility, based on Web technology. It is far outside the narrow definition of Web services. The root of the success of such emerging technologies based on Web technologies is lean development and service design that anticipates a dynamically changing environment. In this lecture, students will learn how to grasp trends in social change, called future insights, and will focus on scenario planning and business model development.
