Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
This lecture interprets the characteristics and roles of co-operatives in comparison with history and modern society. It also learns the uniqueness of co-operatives and explores the ideal way of a better organization. Students can reach a deeper understanding by attending lectures in relation to real life and co-operatives.
【Learning Objectives】
・ Be able to outline the characteristics and historical development of co-operatives.
・ It is possible to explain the characteristics of various corporate forms such as corporations and NPOs.
・ Be able to categorize co-operatives in the community and explain their role.

【Grading Criteria /Policy】
・As a normal point, we will impose a reaction paper (60%), a quiz (20%), and a term-end report (20%) each time.
・The reaction paper measures "understanding of the purpose and function of establishing various cooperatives".
・In the 2nd to 6th classes, a mini-test will be conducted on the history, characteristics, and roles of the co-operatives learned in that session.
・For the term-end report, select one cooperative at will, and discuss (1) outline (location, scale, history), (2) purpose / idea, (3) business content, and (4) the relationship with regional sustainability in 3,000 characters.
