Outline (in English)

【Course Outline】This class is designed for intermediate level students(at the B1-B2 level). In class, students are asked to try various activities including 1minute speech practice, email writing, conversation role play, speech contest, etc. Students will engage in pair work in class.
【Learning Objectives】The class aims to develop students' output skills, focusing on academic writing/speaking skills. Students will be able to explain their own viewpoint on a wide range of subjects and self-evaluate their performance.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】Besides in-class activities, students will be asked to submit several assignments which they need to work on alone. The instructions are given in the class but they need to work outside of classroom as well to complete the assignment.Students will weekly spend 2-3 hours for self-study.
【Grading】Perfomance 60%, Class participation 40%. Class participation is different from attendance points. Students are expected to actively engage to the tasks and play active roles in the class, which will be evaluated as class participation.
