Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
In recent years, a lot of information has been quantified and published. In order to interpret the data correctly, it is necessary to learn about statistics. Statistics are the tools we use to summarize and describe the world around us and to explore the causal processes at work.
【Learning Objectives】
The goal of this course is to provide a theoretical background and practical experience to statistics for psychology, sociology, social welfare, and other behavioral sciences.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
After class meeting, students will be expected to have completed the required assignments, and to look up articles or web pages to review the class. Then, your study time will be more than two hours for a class.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following; Short tests: 50%, Term-end reports 50%.
