Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
The purpose of this course is to acquire basic knowledge and skills such as literature collection, group work, field work, and presentation in preparation for activities in the next year Seminar. Exploring individual interests is also required.

【Learning Objectives】
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
・To deepen understanding and interest in Well-being which is faculty's philosophy.
・To collect literature appropriately according to their interests.
・To constructively exchange opinions with others.
・To collaborate with group members in planning, literature/data collection, and presentation.
・To express one's own opinions and ideas in an academic manner.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
As the class is mainly based on group work, each student is expected to collect and read literature outside the class.

【Grading Criteria/Policy】
Your overall grade in the class will be decided comprehensively based on the following:
50% in-class contribution, and 50% reports and other assignments.
