Outline (in English)

The purpose of this course is to help students acquire the necessary skills and knowledge needed to achieve a better performance in their university studies.

In order to prepare for the next year's specialized training, the following abilities and skills are to be acquired.
To acquire logical thinking
To acquire basic knowledge of social research
To acquire basic knowledge of social research
To develop academic expression and logical writing skills
To learn how to build consensus with people of different opinions through group work discussions and debates.
To acquire presentation skills.
To be able to express in one's own words one's academic area of interest and research theme.

Prior study, including close reading of assigned literature, preparation of resumes and reports, and preparation for presentations, is essential. Fieldwork may be required as necessary as students narrow down their interests. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.

To be able to express in one's own words one's academic area of interest or research theme. The evaluation will be made comprehensively based on ordinary points (50%) and reports and other assignments (50%).
