Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
This class aims to gain basic understanding of the history of social studies and civic education, the goals and contents in the National Courses of Study, and teaching materials research and learning methods. Also, based on this knowledge and skills, the class further discusses how to develop lesson plans and actually design them.
(Learning Objectives)
Aiming to develop the qualities and abilities required as teachers of junior high school social studies (civilian field) and high school civilian studies, understand the goals and contents of education, and be able to create learning guidance plans based on learning guidance theory.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)
The method of preparation and review will be instructed at the time of class. In particular, be sure to prepare for the relevant parts of the distributed prints, textbooks, and junior high and high school "Course of Study" related to the lessons.
According to the lesson theme of your choice, make use of the summer vacation to create a lesson plan and submit it at the first class of the fall semester. * This is mandatory.
The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
(Grading Criteria /Policy)
Always read the newspaper in case of current affairs that are addressed in each class. Evaluation will be made by comprehensively considering the attitude of participation in class (10%), impressions submitted every hour, report submission (30%), and exams (60%). It may change depending on the class format.
