Outline (in English)
In this class,students learn about library service and think about various challenges in the future library. Students visit a library to research it. They also learn about reference work.
Students learn about library service and think about how to answer user's need. Students visit a library to research it. They also learn about reference work.
Before and after classes, students are requested to read a text book and
learn about important points.
Then they need to think about their own idea.
They will take totally more than four hours to complete them.
Grading criteria
Attend classes and present their ideas about current topics.(20%)
Research a library and submit a report about it.(30%)
Submit a final report.(50%)

図書館での情報サービスについて把握し、利用者のニーズに応えられるレファレンスサービスを展開する能力を習得する。
到達目標Goal
図書館での情報サービスについて把握し、利用者のニーズに応えられるレファレンスサービス、情報検索について理解を深め、多岐にわたる情報源の知識を習得し、情報サービスを積極的に展開する能力を習得する。

図書館における情報サービスの意義を明らかにし、レファレンスサービス、情報検索サービス等のサービス方法、参考図書・データベース等の情報源、図書館利用教育、発信型情報サービス等の新しいサービスについて解説する。
毎回、学生によるその日のテーマに関する発表や意見の提出を行い、それについて授業中にコメント、アドバイスを行う。良いコメントを紹介し、さらなる議論に活かす。
