Outline (in English)
This course introduces the basics of Newtonian mechanics and thermal dynamics, which are fundamental fields in physics.
The goal of this course is to understand not only contents of each physics law, but also the relation between various phenomena and physics law.
Before and after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend totally four hours to understand the course content.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following:
Term-end report (60%) and in class contribution including short reports (40%).

この授業は、物理学の基本分野のうち、力学、熱力学に関する内容を理解することを目的とする。
個々の分野を単に学ぶだけではなく、身の回りで起きている現象が、種々の物理法則と関係していることを再発見し、現象を解析的に見る方法を学ぶ。
到達目標Goal
運動、熱 等の身の回りの現象とその背後にある物理法則との関係を理解し、種々の応用ができるようになる。
