Outline (in English)

The aim of this course is to teach students basic knowledge and methods of research about the Ancient Chronicle of Japan, "Shoku Nihon Koki"(Ancient Chronicle of Japan), and explain Emperor Ninmyo(833~850) and his period. I would like to think about how Japanese Classical Culture was formed while reading concrete articles in history books and learning from the results of ancient history and archaeology.
At the end of the course, students are expected to The basic idea of history and Thinking that makes a logical decision.
Students are expected to spend two hours each to understand the content of the course.
Grades will be evaluated by comprehensively participating in lectures (30%) with motivation such as remarks and presentations, and quizzes and report assignments (70%).
