Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
The purpose of this course is twofold. The first is to search for historical materials and scholarly books in modern Japan and read the contents deeply. The second is to properly criticize previous research and establish one's own creative opinion. Through this course, I aim for students to acquire such abilities.
(Learning Objectives)
The goals of this course are to acquire the ability to decipher historical materials, read academic papers critically, and presentations and discussions.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
(Grading Criteria /Policy)
Final grades are calculated according to the process of presentation, discussion and in-class contribution.Combine all elements to make 100%
